Jeremy V. Cruz is Assistant Professor of Theological Ethics at St. John’s University in Queens, NY. He earned his B.A. in history from the University of California, Riverside. He studied at Loyola Marymount University and the Weston Jesuit School of Theology, before earning a Master of Divinity and a Ph.D. in Theological Ethics from Boston College. Jeremy’s research interests are at the intersection of Christian political theology, egalitarian moral theory, and labor studies. His current research and advocacy with U.S. farmworkers focuses on the relationships between labor conditions, race, and state citizenship. Jeremy participates in faith-based community organizing, and served previously as a lay ecclesial minister in his native California.
