SVST-Manila accepting 2nd Batch of PhD Scholars

Having launched its PhD program summer of 2013 with eight doctoral students—four in theological ethics and four in systematic theology—the St. Vincent School of Theology (SVST) is happy to announce that it is offering again tuition fee scholarships to a 2nd batch of qualified PhD applicants from the Philippines and other developing countries. The deadline for scholarship application is January 31, 2014.

The SVST PhD program has been adapted to the needs of working students and those who cannot reside in Manila for an extended period.  The degree requires two years of course work (regular courses for two summers—March to May—and online courses during the regular terms), before the dissertation writing phase. Students from other countries, if this suits their schedule better, can go to Manila only in the two summers, the thesis proposal defense, and the final defense. The second batch starts their program in March 2014.

For more information about the program, visit the SVST website (“study plan” here is undergoing updating this October) or email the Graduate Program Coordinator, Agnes M. Brazal
